Amiah Miller, an aspirational young actress with a heart of gold, started out at just ten years old with her first pilot which was an emotional drama. From there she has taken off where she says from filming “Clementine” was when she had realized this was a huge passion and direction for her.
She is such an ambition bright actress who has so much more in store for us. Amiah thoroughly enjoyed starring in the new movie “War of the Planet of the Apes” and is so appreciative to all of those influential people in her life who have given her some once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.
[Catriona Lamerique] What was it that made you realize acting was the direction for you and when did it all begin?
[Amiah Miller] Well, I was ten years old when I did my first pilot and it was called “Clementine”. And the script was an emotional drama, while we were performing it I loved every
second and it was that where I kind of realized that’s what I want to do for the rest of my life.
[CL] You have been on “Henry Danger”, “Richie Rich”, and “Best Friend Whenever”. Out of all of those TV rolls- which one is your favorite?
[AM] Hmmm, well I don’t really have a particular favorite but I loved all three of them; each one was different and they were such amazing experiences and all equally fun.
[CL] On “Best Friends Whenever”, how do you compare yourself to the character you played as Shelby?
[AM] Me and Shelby were really alike and it was really easy to portray her because we’re so alike with our manarismms and all that; yes it was a great role. It was just like being myself.
[CL] Any plans to return to doing TV shows?
[AM] I actually just got back last week from filming a “Macgyver” episode that airs on December 9th and I’m so excited. I hope to do many TV shows in the future.
[CL] Who is your favorite actor or actress, what is it about them that you love, adore or aspire to be like?
[AM] I don’t really have a particular favorite because there’s so many. I want to meet everyone and work with everyone one day. I want to be a person to send a positive message and be a great role model because that’s what I am right now and what I want to be for the rest of my life.
