Blythdale Children’s Hospital is joining with celebrity chef, Waldy Malouf, to promote a fundraising event called “Dine Out for Blythedale” which takes place on October 23rd later this year in the upper state New York area.
So what is this event? All anyone who wants to participate has to do is dine out at a participating restaurant on October 23rd. That restaurant will then donate part of its proceedings to the Blythedale Children’s Hospital, or more specifically, their infant unit, the “Tiny Miracles Program.” This unit is for the hospital’s most fragile and in-need babies. Larry Levine, President and CEO of the hospital says, “About 50% of our patients are under the age of one, and many come to us from the neonatal intensive care units from the New York metropolitan region.” It’s important that these babies are able to get the care that they need.
So if you’re in the Hudson Valley, or Capital Regions of New York in October, check here to see which restaurants are participating, and “Dine Out” for a good cause!
