In the midst of Bridal Season I was invited to view two amazing shows, Oscar De La Renta’s and Gemy Maalouf’s Spring 2018 Bridal Show.
Oscar De La Renta, famous for his trademark elegance and sensitivity to every bride’s needs. Peter Copping, designer for this Oscar De La Renta’s Spring Bridal Collection tastefully crafted romance into each gown. Each with minimalistic structure, layered with refined details; ranging from embroidered capes, soft lace hems, tulle layers, grandiose bows, and three dimensional chiffon flowers sewn into the gowns. His collection brought intricate designs that left a stunning arrangement of texture with a sleek and modern appeal. I loved most how each dress spoke for a different type of bride, respectfully keeping the woman’s beautiful shape in mind.
Gemy Maalouf show was hosted at the Dream Hotel in New York. This Lebanese-born designer’s dresses are simply breathtaking. As I walked through the bridal show, doubling as both a spectator and a mom of three, I couldn’t help but feel whimsical. Her dresses revive the little girl playing dress up, transforming a bride into a princess. Her collection is stunning, exposing elegance from within, and caters to every woman and goes beyond the bridal dress.
